MLG Food Ingredients BRC Audit 2017 Letter

SUBJECT MLG Food Ingredients BRC Audit 2017

Dear Valued Customer,

As part of MLG’s commitment to quality and food safety, MLG participates in the BRC audit process on an annual basis. The previous audit result from November 2016 was less than desirable and was a severe disappointment. Areas in which MLG received non-conformities during this audit included: policies and procedures, record keeping, and general housekeeping.

Immediately following this audit, MLG’s quality and production staff quickly identified the root causes of these non-conformities and implemented extensive corrective action plans. Following the review and approval of these corrective action plans, work began to prepare for the next BRC audit which was scheduled for April 2017.

I am pleased to announce that MLG was able to attain an A Grade on the re-audit issued by SGS Canada from April 11 to 12, 2017. This audit grade was the result of the hard work and dedication from all of MLG’s staff involved in the preparation and execution of this audit. It was truly a team effort that enabled MLG to improve its audit grade by so much over a relatively short period of time.

I also wish to thank all of MLG’s valued customers for their patience and understanding throughout the entire audit process. The quality of MLG’s ingredients and its production facility is of the highest priority and of utmost importance to the entire management team. MLG is committed to ensuring that customer’s receive the highest standard of quality, service and food safety that is expected in 2017.

Furthermore, it is with great pleasure that it is announced that the following plant upgrades will be implemented at MLG Food Ingredients for 2017:

The installation of a new, state of the art automated tote washing system
The installation of a new metal detector to further enhance MLG’s food safety commitments
The installation of a new, state of the art automated processing system that will ensure ingredient consistency, increase production capacity and decrease lead times for orders
